Department
Franchise Business Management – aims at educating students who take up professional positions in the main sectors of the franchise business, or work in the governmental agencies managing franchises, or as consultants on setting guidelines for the industry.
Educational Model
The teaching combines theory and practice in a “3+1” model. It means students will finish the study both in theory and practical implementation aspects of franchise business and receive innovate training in 3 years. On the 4th year, students will have an opportunity to take an internship in many prominent franchises. This will be counted as an important part of the requirement towards graduation.

By the International Franchise Association (IFA)
Franchise is the contract relationship between the franchisor and franchisee. The franchisor shall be responsible for offering and maintaining consistent interest in the improving the management know-how and training of franchisee’s operation: the management of the franchisor shall be carried out under the common logo, management mode or process, and the licensee shall invest in its businesses from its own resources.

By the Chinese Government’s Legal Definition
Franchise refers to a case in which a franchisor grants the use of its trademark (including Service trademark), company name, product, patented exclusive technology, and operations mode to a franchisee by means of a contract. The franchisee shall assume these management activities under the uniform business model of the franchisor, and pay related expenses to the
franchisor.
